Poland's Treasury Ministry appears confident that the privatisation of 740 state-owned companies will be completed by 2011, despite the recent announcement that expectations for 2008 had been scaled down. Divestment is ongoing in a range of different industry sectors including oil & gas, chemicals, transport, and defence.
