US-based Vanguard Pharmaceutical has signed a contract to sell the generics portfolio of India's Arbro Pharmaceutical in Latin America and the Caribbean. The deal gives Vanguard exclusive rights to market Arbro's range of 150 generics in the region for 10 years. Vanguard is in the process of setting up operations in Brazil, Peru and Paraguay to enable it to compete in government tenders and set up a distribution network to penetrate the private sector.
