Hungary's Gedeon Richter has been given the green light from Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (OCCP) for the acquisition of Polish generics maker Polpharma. The decision, on July 4 2008, comes almost eight months after the deal was initially announced and will make Richter the leading pharmaceutical company in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
