Sales And Profits Down For Beximco

Bangladeshi drugmaker Beximco Pharmaceuticals has posted disappointing financial results for 2007. Net sales and pre-tax profit are down 2.8% and 23.6%, respectively. The company has blamed the poor showing on significant increases in the prices of raw materials, which meant that Beximco was unable to fulfil some orders.
