Germany's Federal Joint Committee on Healthcare (G-BA) has confirmed that it will not reimburse Plavix (clopidogrel) as a prophylactic treatment for cardiovascular disease. The decision comes as a result of findings by the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Healthcare (IQWiG) in 2007 that Plavix had no real benefit over Aspirin when used as secondary
