BMI has slightly upgraded its forecasts for French pharmaceutical exports after new figures were released by Leem, the local industry association, which were based on statistics from French customs. Accordingly, BMI now values exports in 2007 at US$24.9mn, after growing by 4% in 2007. This represents a slowdown after exports expanded by 8% in 2006. BMI believes that growth for the remainder of the forecast period will hover around the 5% mark, with exports reaching a value of US$31.8bn in 2012.
