Due to a stagnating domestic market, two Japanese pharmaceutical wholesalers have revealed plans to establish joint ventures in China. Mediceo Paltac intends to provide drug management services in healthcare facilities, while Toho Pharmaceuticals wants to sell medicines made by Japanese companies to Chinese hospitals and clinics. BMI believes that both companies will succeed, given the promise China holds and their clearly defined strategy.
