With Russia and India two of the fastest growing economies in the world, a recent economic forum between the two has focused on increasing bilateral trade in the pharmaceutical sector. Russia's Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Elvira Nabiullina, sees great potential for co-operation between the two economies. In 2007, trade between the two countries across all sectors increased by 34%. However, for each country this still accounts for only around 1% of foreign trade.
