Japanese firm Takeda is to develop and commercialise up to 13 molecules from US-based Amgen's pipeline for its domestic market. Amgen will receive US$200mn upfront, US$702mn in milestone payments and double-digit royalties on sales. Ownership of Amgen's subsidiary in Japan will be also transferred to Takeda.
