Anglo-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca is aiming to outsource all of its manufacturing operations within the next ten years as it looks to cut costs. Contract manufacturing organisations in Asia are expected to take on much of the burden although the transformation will not occur for many years due to complex regulatory hurdles.
