With the dust settling on Stefano Pessina's successful GBP11.1bn (US$22.08bn) take-over of Alliance Boots , BMI takes a look at look at what the future is likely to hold for the retailer. The deal - which was backed by US-based private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), as well as numerous investment banks - has resulted in large-scale debt, but with the healthcare business expanding around the world opportunities still abound.
