Boosting the image of generic drugs in Central and Eastern Europe, Hungarian firm Richter Gedeon has won its alendronate patent infringement case against US multinational Merck & Co and will receive compensation for loss of revenue. BMI was fairly confident that Richter would prevail in the suit and expects the company to establish its product as market leader given its lower
