According to recently released data, the Jordanian drug industry exported products worth JOD198.6mn (US$280mn) in 2005, which is directly in line with BMI estimates. However, BMI believes that the Jordanian government's forecast that the sector will more than triple by 2010 to reach US$1bn is overly optimistic.
