The French drug industry association, LEEM , has launched a scathing attack on the government's policies towards the pharmaceutical sector. In a seven-point manifesto, the body claims that the authorities are destabilising the drug market, discouraging investment and threatening employment. In a country already experiencing sluggish economic growth and 9% unemployment, BMI believes that the state of the US$30.3bn pharmaceutical industry is a worry.
