Egyptian drugmaker Alexandria Pharmaceuticals (Alex Pharma) is one of the smaller companies operating under the umbrella of the state-owned Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals, but is forecast to grow steadily in the coming years. In 2005, revenues stood at EGP197.7mn (US$34.57mn) but according to HC Brokerage these should rise to EGP242.5mn (US$42.4mn) by 2008.
