The Manufacturers Association of Israel has announced that pharmaceutical exports increased 50% in January-September 2006, leading BMI to revise its forecasts. We now estimate that total exports for 2006 will reach US$3.03bn as opposed to our initial figure of US$2.8bn, as growth has outstripped expectations. By 2010, BMI believes that exports will stand at US$4.7bn, more than double 2005 levels.
