The Indian government has announced that the country's pharmaceutical industry has voluntarily reduced the prices of 886 pharmaceutical products, between 0.26% and 74.5%. Medicines targeted for the cuts include anti-diabetic agents, antibiotics as well as painkillers and anti-hypertensives.
