Due to its rich scientific heritage, Lithuania's biotechnology industry is booming, outpacing developments in many larger Central and Eastern European countries. Increasing numbers of companies are being spun out from universities and there are plans for a national stem cell centre. It is BMI's view that the sector is poised for robust growth and FDI in the country will increase
