UAE-based drugmaker Julphar has recorded sales of AED641mn (US$174.52mn) for the financial year 2005/2006, a 17% increase on the previous year. Strong sales in the private sector, which swelled by 35% in the reporting period, have driven this positive performance. According to company sources, this points to a growing acceptance of Julphar's products among specialists as well as patients. Thirty, out of the company's 480 products are reported to have registered 'phenomenal' sales.
