Thailand is planning to extend its production of oseltamivir, the generic version of Swiss drugmaker Roche's anti-flu medicine Tamiflu. The state run Government Pharmaceutical Organisation (GPO) will have the capacity to produce 400,000 capsules of the drug per day, after the upgrading. Presently, the firm manufactures the drug using bulk materials imported from India, although in the long term it hopes to develop its own independent production
