One of Australia's leading cancer specialists has accused drug firms in the country of manipulating clinical trials in order to gain a commercial advantage. Professor Stephen Clarke of Sydney University, who has been conducting human clinical trials for 15 years, alleges that companies are failing to properly research the safety of their drugs and are delaying the release of negative findings.
