HIV/AIDS patients in Thailand have hit the streets in protest over news that UK-based drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is planning to raise the cost of one of its life-saving ARV therapies, Combid. The activists are calling for GSK to halt its patent bid for the drug, which would force the state-owned Government Pharmaceutical Organisation (GPO) to stop producing its generic version of the
