A civil court in Caracas, Venezuela, has upheld a claim of patent infringement brought by French drug major Sanofi-Aventis. The judgement implies that local firm Nolver and its marketing partner Sinergium violated patents on Doxetal, the active ingredient in Sanofi-Aventis' breast cancer drug Taxotere.
