German drug giant Bayer has launched its erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment Levitra in Oman. Recent studies have shown that the drug has a 92% efficacy for men suffering from the condition and has the fastest onset of action out of all available therapies, at 10 minutes. It is estimated that one in three men in the Arab world suffer from ED. However due to the conservative nature of societies, many patients do not consult their doctor about the problem and often rely on counterfeit treatments.
