Nigeria is planning to begin the local manufacture artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) to combat malaria. Local drugmaker Emzor has recently started producing ACTs, which are the recommended treatment for the disease. This is because monotherapy anti-malarial drugs frequently causes malarial resistance.
