Affordable Medicines Given To Mothers Can Reduce Maternal Mortality
October 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisMaternal health and the reduction of the maternal mortality rate in developing countries such as Uganda is a serious healthcare issue that should be prioritised by governments. Cheaper, more common medicines such as antibiotics and anti-haemorrhage drugs would be easier to make available in rural hospitals and clinics and, as a result, would lower the maternal mortality rate in these areas.
