Domestic Manufacturing Encouraged Through Local Demand

The Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Medical Appliances (JAPM) revealed that domestic drugmakers in the country are exporting approximately 75% of their medicine abroad. While improving the trade balance through high value pharmaceutical exports is positive, domestic manufacturing should also be encouraged through local demand.
