BMI's forecast that the Swiss pharmaceutical market would decline in 2010 has been proved to be accurate. We previously forecast that drug expenditure would decline by 1.4% to CHF5.98bn (US$5.73bn), while recent figures published by market research firm IMS Health indicate that spending on medicines on Switzerland fell by 1.3% in 2010.
