Drug Pricing Reforms Need A Rethink

However, the proposed reform to the country?s medicine pricing regime will not win its appeal at the Supreme Administrative Court. Despite making medicine registration simpler, the proposed changes in Decree 373 will make generic drugs unaffordable for some Egyptian consumers, create legal loopholes and Infuriate multinational pharmaceutical companies.
