Strong Regional Growth Expected In 2011
December 2010 | Industry Trend AnalysisBMI View: Combined sales of prescription drugs and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines in Asia Pacific will increase from US$227bn in 2010 to US$245bn in 2011. Although there will be market contractions in Australia and New Zealand - primarily caused by local currency depreciation - the core regional scenario is increased demand for healthcare in general and pharmaceuticals in particular. We continue to expect Asia Pacific to be the outperforming region.
