Central And Eastern Europe's BERs Reveal High Rewards, But Higher Risks

BMI View: The attractiveness of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to multinational pharmaceutical companies has declined. The region scored 51.5 out of 100 in BMI's Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Business Environment Ratings (BERs) for Q111. When compared with more developed markets, CEE's appeal stems from superior pharmaceutical expenditure growth forecasts. However, significant operating risk limits the region's overall attractiveness.
