Political Pressure Lessens 2010 Healthcare Cuts

BMI View: The Latvian government's decision to provide additional funds to the current healthcare budget - having implemented considerable cuts to the sector in 2009 and 2010 - is the result of political pressure stemming from the upcoming elections. After this motivation has passed, and regardless of the electoral results, cuts to medical services will continue.
