Bayer Invests In Manufacturing Plant

By the end of 2010, Bayer will inaugurate its expanded production plant in Guatemala for over-the-counter (OTC) medicines. The Consumer Care Division produces OTC analgesics, cough and cold medicines and gastrointestinal remedies. The drugmaker anticipates that the US$3.2mn investment will be fundamental to increasing production capacity and meeting the predicted increase in demand. Bayer forecasts sustained sales growth of 5-10% per year.
