Strong Market Growth In Generic Drug Sector Despite Lower Volume Of Marketing Approvals

During the first half of 2010, only 84 marketing authorisation applications for generic drugs were registered in Brazil, according to the Brazilian Association of Industries of Generic Medicines (Prógenéricos). The agency consequently expects the volume of generic drug marketing applications to be significantly lower than the 295 registered in 2009.
