Region Presents Improved Risk/Reward Ratio Profile For Drugmakers

The attractiveness of the Americas to multinational pharmaceutical companies has increased, according to BMI's Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Business Environment Ratings (BERs) for Q410. The average BER score for the region increased from 46.8 out of 100 in Q3 to 48.6 (+3.8%). This improvement is a result of the overall Industry Rewards for the region improving by 2% and overall Country Risks improving by 3.5%, with Latin American countries such as Chile, Belize and Panama displaying the most significant upgrades in business environment.(graph horizontal vertical bars BER ratings)
