Private Healthcare Market Set For Strong Growth Despite Stricter Regulations

Private healthcare providers are to reimburse the Brazilian public healthcare system - Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) - in the same way that private hospitals are currently reimbursed for treating privately insured patients, according to a ruling by the high court Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF). To date, seven private healthcare companies have filed unsuccessful appeals, setting a precedent for the whole country.
