European large-cap pharmaceutical companies have greater exposure in emerging markets compared with their US peers, according to BMI's Pharmaceutical Emerging Markets Sales Index (PEMSI) for Q110. The proprietary index system also reveals that drugmakers based in Europe have a more aggressive strategy in non-traditional markets.
