Novartis Expands In The Leading Emerging Pharmaceutical Market

Basel-based multinational Novartis is to expand its sales team and build its research capabilities in China, according to CEO Joe Jimenez. The former tactic will boost sales immediately, while the latter will expand the company's product pipeline and lead to long-term financial sustainability. BMI fully supports this announcement and expects other large drugmakers to unveil similar plans, not only in China, but in the other top-tier emerging pharmaceutical markets: Brazil, India and Russia.
