HP To Work With mPedigree To Combat Counterfeits

Multinational technology provider Hewlett-Packard and Zain Telecommunications are to sign a deal with Ghana based mPedigree - a company that connects GSM mobile networks in the West African republic of Ghana to a central registry which stores information on medicine brands belonging to participant manufacturers, providing consumers with a service that verifies the authenticity of a medicine. BMI welcomes this new partnership as we believe that both HP and Zain will provide mPedigree with the muscle to implement a successful nationwide anti-counterfeit effort.
