Novartis Sales Exceed Expectations

Novartis has revealed that it achieved sales of US$657mn in China during 2009. This equates to year-on-year growth of 36% and underlines the importance of the market to multinational drugmakers. As a result of the long-awaited revision to China's National Drug Reimbursement List (NDRL), BMI expects Novartis to post even more impressive financial results in 2010.
