Teva's recent acquisition of Ratiopharm underlined our expectations for the firm in terms of both its current growth strategy and its geographic expansion plans. BMI also expects Teva to extend its efforts to produce more innovative drugs in order to boost sales. While the firm will maintain its pole position as a global generic drugmaker, we believe that diversifying into high-value products, especially patented anticancer agents, will provide robust revenue streams in addition to the rise in sales expected after the patent cliff in 2011.
