Government Seeks To Tax Industry For Reimbursement Expenditure

As part of reforms to Poland's pricing and reimbursement system, the Ministry of Health is considering introducing a 3% tax on returns from reimbursed medicines. The levy would be charged to pharmaceutical companies, and the ministry would be seeking to to raise PLN180mn (US$63mn) a year.
