Hikma Enters Biosimilar Agreement With Celltrion

Jordanian generic drugmaker Hikma has entered into an agreement with South Korean Celltrion to manufacture biosimilars in the Middle East. The development underlines Hikma's strategy to dominate the Middle East and increase its market share in each market to at least 5%. However, unlike its acquisitions - whereby it purchases niche drugmakers in target countries - this deal signals a product diversification strategy.
