Public expenditure figures for Sweden's Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme (PBS) experienced a 28.22% increase between 2000 and 2008, from SEK14.65bn (US$2.03bn) in 2000 to SEK18.79bn (US$2.61bn) in 2008.
