Increasing Investment In The Clinical Trials Sector

Clinical trial funding in Sweden has increased in recent years. The SEK5.29bn (US$0.65bn) invested in 2008 represents a figure approximately 35% higher than that invested in clinical trials five years previously (SEK3.90bn (US$0.48bn)). BMI welcomes this increased investment in the sector, but we believe the government needs to work to maintain its long-term attractiveness in this area, especially as the costs of conducting clinical trials are forecast to rise.
