Pharmaceutical Exports To Approach US$9bn Within Five Years

Sweden's pharmaceutical exports reached a value of SEK56.96bn (US$6.65bn) in 2009. Over the 2009-2014 forecast period BMI calculates that sector exports will increase to SEK67.91bn (US$8.94bn), at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.68% in local currency terms and 6.10% in US dollar terms. The leading destinations for Swedish pharmaceutical exports in 2008 were Germany, the US, France, the UK and Norway.
