Saudi FDA Suspends GSK Diabetes Drug

The Saudi Arabian Food and Drugs Administration (SFDA) has suspended the distribution and sale of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)'s diabetes type 2 treatment Avandia (rosiglitazone), following reports of adverse side effects including myocardial infarction and increased risk of bone fractures.
