Epidemiological Profile Dominated By Non-Communicable Diseases
March 2010 | Industry Trend AnalysisBMI's Burden of Disease Database (BoDD) records the number of disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) that are lost as a result of having or having had a disease. Therefore, our measure of DALYs is a measure of lost productivity. According to the BoDD, Sweden will become a healthier country over the next twenty years, with the number of disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) lost to all disease decreasing from 852,424 in 2009 to 814,568 in 2030, a drop of nearly 5%.
