AstraZeneca Signs Alliance With Torrent Pharmaceuticals

Anglo-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca has taken its first real step into the fast-growing generic medicines sector through an alliance with India-based Torrent Pharmaceuticals. Under the terms of the agreement, AstraZeneca will initially purchase licences and market authorisations from Torrent for 18 products in nine countries.
