Regulatory Environment In Need Of Streamlining

The pharmaceutical regulatory environment in Ghana is governed by the Food and Drugs Board (FDB) which in March 2010 reported the confiscation of batches of medicines manufactured in China which were found to be fake. The FDB has its own drug testing facilities, which tests medicines as part of its post-marketing surveillance strategy.
